Cheshire Lounge Guidelines
Just a few things to note before you to enjoy your visit:
-
Visits begin at the top of the hour and last 30-55 minutes. Walk-in reservations are welcome as space permits 6 people at a time. If the hour is fully booked, we have no additional space for walk-ins but welcome you to reserve for the next available space.
-
Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. One adult must be present per 2 children ages 12 and under, no exceptions. Please keep a close eye on your children, for their safety, and the safety of the cats.
-
Please leave any catnip, laser pointers, and outside treats at home to help ensure a safe and relaxing experience for our cats. We will have plenty for you to play with them.
-
Cats sleep 16+ hours per day, so we can’t guarantee that the cats will always be active or awake during visits.
Cheshire Rules
1. Please do NOT pick up cats; this may startle them, as they do not know you, and may cause them to react negatively towards you. You can continue to play, pet, and love on them without picking them up.
2. When entering/ exiting the cheshire lounge, please close one door before opening another. Keep one door closed at all times. We don't want any kitties running away as we do have cats that like to try and escape.
3. Please remove shoes before entering the main lounge, we don't want any tails or toes to be stepped on and accidentally hurt any of the kitties.
4. Please refrain from any use of the cat door, it is a CAT DOOR; please do not try to grab, climb or reach into the the other side. If you see a cat by the door they do not want to socialize, they are just observing.
5. Use inside voices; cats have very sensitive ears designed for hunting and loud noise can startle, and even hurt them.
